Utah Sate Capitol Tour and Briefing

On February 5, 2008, Leadership Utah Alumni experienced a very special private tour of the renovated Utah State Capitol. Members and their guests were greeted at a Reception held in the State Dining Room and sponsored by Secure Horizons. 

The group was addressed by David Hart, Architect of the Capitol, Dr. Judith McConkie, Curator of the Capitol and Allyson Gamble, Capitol Preservation Board. Each spoke about the restoration from their perspectives, including the many challenges they faced throughout the process. 

A private guided tour followed with exclusive views of the base isolation system, the Capitol architecture and commissioned art work throughout the building.
