Hale Centre Theatre - Community Service Award
Hale Centre Theatre is one of the premier community theatres in the United States, presenting more than 400 productions before a quarter of a million patrons annually. Now in its 25th year, the theatre features extraordinary talent, inventive sets, state-of-the-art staging and custom lighting, scenery and costumes. Founded in 1947 by Ruth and Nathan Hale, Hale Centre Theatre is one of the nation’s longest running center-state theatres.
Red Iguana - Minority-Owned Business Award The name Red Iguana has become synonymous with quality Mexican cuisine. The Cardenas Family has owned restaurants in Salt Lake City since 1965 and still uses the original family recipes. The Red Iguana has expanded to include a very active catering business and a second location with a third under construction in City Creek Center Food Court. The Red Iguana has become perhaps the most awarded, and most widely-recognized restaurant in Utah with a national and international following.
