Salt Lake Military Salute Banquet
A Mess Dress or black tie optional patriotic event recognizing one officer and one enlisted selected from National Guard and Reserve Units here in Utah.

Many men and women who live and work in our community are actively involved in the various branches of the military as Guard or Reservists.  They are employed by businesses, shop at stores and use services offered by members of the Salt Lake Chamber.  Because of their dedication, the Salt Lake Chamber's Military Affairs Committee will proudly pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of Utah’s outstanding Citizen/Soldiers June 2, 2009.  

This banquet is one of the most patriotic events in Utah.  This year, the banquet is proud to be associated with  the Salt Lake City Air Force Week June 1-7, 2009.  This weeklong event will include presentations by Air Force officials, static displays and flight demonstrations including the Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team during the Hill Air Force Base Open House (June 6-7). 

The Salt Lake Military Salute Banquet (June 2) will include a keynote presentation by Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr., Chief of Air Force Reserve, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., and Commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, GA.  Entertainment will be provided by the U.S. Air Force Academy Band Stellar Brass Ensemble.

The Military Affairs Committee invites various VIP's from surrounding military installations to the event.

Parking:
Valet Parking $5: The Chamber has contracted with Turn-Key Valet to provide valet parking on both the east and west sides of West Temple and 100 South from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. 
Self Parking $7: Underground parking will be available by entering 200 South 185 West or 50 South 300 West

Menu:
SALAD: Mesclum and romaine greens with grilled asparagus spears, caramelized walnuts, grape tomatoes and topped with blueberry croutons served with either a vinaigrette and peppercorn ranch 
ENTREE: Chicken breast filled with wild rice with a sherry mushroom cream sauce. Served with a grilled tomato, baby green beans, and red jacket potatoes
DESSERTS: Lemon cheesecake with raspberries and blueberries
BEVERAGES: Raspberry lemonade and or Coffee, decaf or tea service. Cash bar from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
