Many men and women who live and work in our community are
actively involved in the various branches of the military as Guard or
Reservists. They are employed by businesses, shop at stores and use
services offered by members of the Salt Lake Chamber. Because of
their dedication, the Salt Lake
Chamber's Military Affairs Committee will proudly pay
tribute to the service and sacrifice of Utah’s outstanding
Citizen/Soldiers June 2, 2009.
This banquet is one of the most patriotic events in Utah.
This year,
the banquet is proud to be associated with the Salt Lake City Air Force
Week June
1-7, 2009. This weeklong event will include
presentations by Air Force officials,
static displays and flight demonstrations including the Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team during the Hill Air Force Base Open House
(June 6-7). The
Salt Lake Military Salute Banquet (June 2) will include a
keynote presentation by Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr.,
Chief of Air Force Reserve, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., and Commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base,
GA. Entertainment will be provided by the U.S.
Air Force Academy Band Stellar Brass Ensemble.
