The 2006 Athena Award
The Athena Award, sponsored by Wells Fargo Women’s Financial Services, is a prestigious national award presented annually to an active member of the Salt Lake Chamber who demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in business; provides valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community; and assists women in reaching their full leadership potential. The ATHENA Award was established 22 years ago by Martha Mertz to recognize women who had not received recognition for their contributions to Chambers of Commerce. To date 4,500 individuals have been honored internationally in the U.S., Canada, China, Russia and the United Emirates.
