Mission
Statement
Building relationships between military installation units and Wasatch Front businesses by increasing awareness through briefings, tours, and the Salt Lake Military Salute Banquet.
History
This committee began in 1999. It was started because it was recognized that the Top Of Utah MAC usually provided support to the Active duty units at Hill AFB, but no one was really assisting the Reserve and Guard units located in Salt Lake City area.
Focus
The main focus of the Salt Lake Chamber's Military Affairs Committee is to provide support to the following organizations:
Utah Army National Guard (UTARNG)
Utah Air National Guard (UTANG)
United States Marines (USMCR)
United States Navy Reserve (USNR)
Army Reserve (USAR)
United States Air Force Reserve (USAFR, i.e., 419th Fighter Wing at Hill AFB)
Membership
The Military Affairs Committee has a membership of 250 business leaders. It is an open committee where Chamber members are encouraged to join. The
Military Affairs Committee is not a dues paying committee. Fees may are charged for events as they occur, but committee expenses are covered by profits earned on the annual Salt Lake Military Salute Banquet. If
you would like to be included on notifications about different tours, briefings,
or the Military Salute Banquet you can submit your contact information
online. Join
