You are
invited to join the Military Affairs Committee (MAC)
The purpose of the committee is to build relationships
between military installation units and businesses along the Wasatch Front.This is accomplished through military briefings, tours of military
installations, newsletters, the military salute banquet, and other events.By joining the Salt Lake Chamber
Military Affairs Committee, you will receive notifications about these various
events.
Some past events
include:
·The Annual Military Salute Banquet has been described as “one of
the most patriotic events I’ve ever attended,” “fabulous,”
“elegant,” “stirring – and the food was delicious!.”Attendance is upwards of 800 guests.
·An M-16 and artillery firing demonstration and hands on experience
with the Utah National Guard Special Forces and Artillery at Camp Williams.
·A live demonstration of SWAT team methods for controlling urban
riot and terrorist situations.
·A visit to the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR) for a day of
education.Guest were able to
observe live target practices with 2,000 lb bombs and cluster bombs being
dropped from F-16s.
·A trip to Dugway for a tour and to learn about their projects.
·Hands-on Weapons Simulator training to learn about some of the
weapons and tools that the Marines and Navy use to prepare for conflicts.
·Military Briefings by those who have served in Iraq, Afghanistan,
and other locations.
·Flag Day march to the Utah State Capitol.
·A BOSSLIFT flight on a KC-135 air-refueler sponsored by the
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
