When Work Works is a national project to highlight the importance of workplace effectiveness and workplace flexibility as strategies to enhance businesses’ competitive advantage in the global economy and yield positive business results.
As part of the When Work Works initiative, the Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Excellence in Workplace Flexibility recognize exemplary employers that are using flexibility as a tool to enhance business, employee, and community success. Winners are selected based on a composite of employer and employee responses. There is no limit to the number of Award recipients within a given community. Winners receive local and national recognition, including tribute in a local awards ceremony and a full-page ad in USA Today.
Salt Lake has been selected as one of thirty cities nationwide to participate in When Work Works and give local employers an opportunity to apply for the
2010 Alfred P. Sloan Awards. Locally, the initiative is spearheaded by the Salt Lake Chamber in collaboration with a coalition of community leaders.
To apply for the Sloan Awards, employers self-nominate by completing an online application survey.
To apply click

16, 2010.
