Salt Lake City to
the City of Lights: Delta Provides Nonstop service to Paris
On June 2, 2008, Delta Air Lines launched the first trans-Atlantic service ever offered by an airline from Salt Lake City. Travelers in Europe and the Western U.S. can now enjoy daily non-stop service between Paris and SLC on board a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating 214 passengers.
The aircraft also provides up to five tons of cargo lift in each direction. From Paris the top shipments will be cosmetics, fashion garments and wine. From Salt Lake City the chief exports will be machine parts, computers and information technology equipment.
Key Utah industries expected to benefit from non-stop service to Europe include tourism, outdoor products manufacturing, computer products, and professional services. The flight also offers Utahns increased travel options and convenience.
