Salt Lake City - The Salt Lake Chamber is calling upon Utah’s governor and the Legislature to invest aggressively in highways during the current legislative session. The Chamber’s 2007 legislative priorities document includes a strong statement on the need for increased transportation funding: “Businesses depend on an efficient transportation network to keep business costs low. Congestion increases transportation costs, reduces worker productivity and makes Utah a less desirable place to live. If we put off the needed investment, we will pay more in future years.”
