Salt Lake City, UT- (August 7, 2008) - It is time to celebrate a great year of learning, networking and sharing at the Eighth Annual Women in Business Summer Social just three miles up Millcreek Canyon at the Millcreek Inn Thursday, August 28, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
The Women in Business Summer Social is the premier fundraising event for the Salt Lake Chamber's Women's Business Center bringing over 200 of Salt Lake City's female business leaders together for a summer soiree. This event offers several sponsorship opportunities as well as a silent auction and drawings to help patrons support Women in Business at a cost of $35 per person.
Each year at the Summer Social, the Business Women's Forum takes the opportunity to give back to the community. The proceeds of the year's activities are donated to a charity chosen by the Business Women's Forum Committee Chair. This year, the chosen charity is the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA).
“The Summer Social is the first Business Women’s Forum event I attended years ago, and it made me fall in love with the Forum,” said Business Women’s Forum Committee Chair, Jody Vance. “I wanted to get involved with this group because of what I saw there. It was, and is, the perfect place to meet lots of powerful, inspirational, hard-working women. It is a great atmosphere to meet and mingle with the women business leaders of Utah.”
