Statement on FrontRunner South
|
|

Salt Lake City, UT-
(August 11, 2008) - The Salt Lake Chamber applauds the judgment of Utahns and the work of the Utah Transit Authority in moving forward on FrontRunner South expansion. The Chamber has been a chief advocate of FrontRunner commuter rail since 2006, when the Chamber spearheaded efforts to successfully pass a $1 billion highway bond. An efficient infrastructure has always been a top priority for Utah businesses and Utah’s Business Leader.
The seven municipalities that will host a FrontRunner stops by 2012 include:
· Murray
· Sandy/South Jordan
· Draper/Bluffdale
· Lehi
· American Fork
· Orem
· Provo
Residents of these municipalities and others who share the commute to Salt Lake City will greatly benefit from FrontRunner South. Combined with a FrontRunner North that is exceeding virtually every expectation, Utahns are well on their way to preserving their enviable quality of life.
