Dear Leadership Utah Alumni,
During my time in the Utah Legislature I learned in a profound way the importance of boards and commissions in setting public policy. In a very real way, members of the hundreds of boards and commissions in state, city and county government make a lasting impact on our community. The Salt Lake Chamber is making a concerted effort to make sure the business voice is heard and we need your help.
We are interested in you and other capable individuals willing to serve on a board or commission in your areas of interest and expertise. We will work proactively to nominate you and other Chamber members for the hundreds of vacancies that emerge each year. As you know, many times in government it seems like the same people are involved all the time. Wouldn't it be great if we could attract competent, but unknown talents to serve? I ask for your help as an active member of the 2005-2006 Leadership Utah Alumni in identifying qualified individuals who are willing to give of their time and energy to a worthy cause.
