Outdoor Adventure

Home to “the Greatest Snow on Earth,” it’s no wonder Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and has 13 world-class ski resorts! Whether you prefer cross-country, alpine or snowboarding, Utah is a Mecca for the ski enthusiast!

If you are looking for something a little different, try visiting one of our pristine national or state parks. Hike through the waters of the Virgin River Narrows at Zion National Park. Let your child’s imagination soar among the mysterious rock formations at Goblin Valley State Park.  Have a wild white water rafting journey through Cataract Canyon. The possibilities are endless!

Salt Lake City

Utah’s capitol is truly the heart of the state. Explore downtown Main Street, the Gateway and Trolley Square. There are tons of shops and boutiques, so feel free to “shop ‘til you drop!”

Salt Lake City also has a little something for the entire family. Take the kids over to Utah’s Hogle Zoo to see animals from all around the world and learn about the importance of conservation. How about a little space exploration? Clark Planetarium offers an astronomical experience. Catch an IMAX Film or see an exhibit. For a historical and spiritual education, jet on over to Temple Square and tour the grounds. As one of Salt Lake’s and Utah’s most recognizable landmarks, Temple Square offers insight and history of the Mormon experience. 

With everything to see and do, you are bound to work up an appetite. We have every type of restaurant to satisfy even the most choosey of appetites. Go for International flair with one of our Asian, Italian, Mexican or European restaurants. Take it causal with one of our brewpubs. Historical and Cultural Sites

Utah is proud of its history and diverse cultural heritage. From the historical and modern inhabitation of Native American tribes, to the settlement of the pioneers, to the modern development of ethnic districts, the state has sites and activities galore to educate and inspire!

Take a trip down south to discover the land of the ancient Native Americans who first lived in Utah. Edge of the Cedars State Park and Fremont Indian State Park and Museum will    educate the entire family about the Anasazi and Freemont Indians that once thrived in the area.

To learn more about the pioneer traditions that helped shape the state, head on over to This Is The Place Heritage Park. It is here that Brigham Young famously declared, “This is the right place,” settling his Mormon pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley. Afterward, take a tour of some of Utah’s oldest and most treasured buildings. The Utah Heritage Foundation offers a guided tour, or if you feel adventurous, take on a self-guided walking tour. Going back in time in Utah is never a waste of time!
